Jorge’s limited minutes a bother for Jose?

Jorge Garbajosa and Jose Calderon with Pau Gasol and Juan Carlos Navarro

Steve Buffery of the Toronto Sun, reported that Jorge Garbajosa is frustrated with lack of playing time so far in this early season. It isn’t exactly surprising, as you know Garbo just loves to play and would with a peg leg and a set of crutches if he needed to; he’s just that kinda dude. With the addition of Jason Kapono and Bargnani into the starting lineup and strong performances by Delfino and Dixon off the bench, Garbo has seen his role dwindle to a mere 7 minutes per game. I know it’s quite a bit early to speculate, but Tas Melas over at The Basketball Jones seems to think this may effect Jose wanting to sign an extension with the Raptors because of the tight bond shared between the Spanish connection. While Jose’s role as the floor general of the second unit doesn’t seem to bother him, would the shot as a starter’s role and paycheck influence Jose to want to sign elsewhere? Jose will be a restricted free agent this summer.
